Profiles : Incomplete Profiles

I can't believe how many profiles I see that say little more than "woman seeking man" along with the basic info required during registration, such as age, height, hair color, etc. So many don't bother uploading a photo, and there's very little if any information about themselves or their interests or hobbies.

Do these people honestly believe someone will beat down their door and sweep them off their feet? Personally I can't click the "NEXT" button fast enough. If they're too damn lazy or simply can't be bothered to make a little effort in creating a half decent profile, then I couldn't be bothered wasting my time sending them a message and then playing a game of 20 questions to see if we have anything at all in common.

I hear people say that meeting people online doesn't work, well of course it doesn't if you don't put any effort into it. If you don't upload photos or take the time to describe a little about yourself, it's the equivalent to going out to the bar or a social event and sitting in the corner with a bag on your head.

Maybe the admin should change the default image of the "cowboy hat" for those that haven't uploaded a photo, to a head with a paper bag on it.

I am in agreement with you. I found out about this site from another site. Right now it isn't looking to promising. I might be looking for new friends on here but with no information on there profiles it is hard to send anyone a friends requests. We are all curious i figure if i can have my photo up here so can the people that would like to talk to me.

It's astonishing how many people post incomplete profiles and then complain about not being able to meet anyone.  Most people are leery about engaging too much with people who do not have complete profiles (especially no photos) because there's a good chance they will just be wasting their time, and rightfully so!

Why do they even bother wasting their time signing up if they have no intentions of completing their profile. They just land up coming across as dead beats or Looky-Loos.

I actually came across a few sites a while back that added captions to the default image for "no photo". One was ... "I'm too lazy to upload a photo", another was "I'm too ugly to post my photo". A bit rash and unprofessional but I guess they were getting sick and tired of dead beats and were trying to embarrass them into uploading a photo.
